 Post subject: Purpose of the synchronize tag?

I was just looking at the Hibernate HBM DTD, and there's a tag in there called synchronize - looks like it's supposed to be used by the sql-query tag (specify a table...?).

I've got some theories about what this tag is for, but I figured I'd just ask (and also make sure that it's actually implemented) ...

I managed to answer my own question. Per the 2.1.1 release notes...

"native SQL queries are now cacheable - added <synchronize> element to allow correct result set expiry"
