Hi,

I would like to know if hibernate reverse engineering is compulsory in order for hibernate to do its work ?

Basically, I am using Eclipse Link JPA for annotation on a Jave EE project in Tomcat.

No, it's not. You can use Hibernate without reverse engineering.

That's just wrong. EclipseLink is a JPA implementation, just like Hibernate, so you either use one or the other.
