I have already posted to SO, but I though here would be a more appropriate place to post this kind of issue. It has now been three days that I am struggling with this and I am hoping to find some help with you.

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/4059 ... to-hibernaI am migrating an app from Hibernate 4.3 to Hibernate 5.0 (I'd like to migrate to 5.1 but first let's start with 4.3, though I tried 5.1 and I get the same errors). At the same time, my app uses dependency net.sf.ehcache:ehcache-core version 2.6.11 (not that I will be migrating to 2.10.3 when moving to Hibernate 5.1.2).
So far, when moving to Hibernate 5.0, I had to modify the following things:
- I changed the signature of SingletonEhCacheRegionFactory.start in my classes that implemented it, so that it matches the new start method. This was only a matter of changing the settings parameter from org.hibernate.cfg.Settings to org.hibernate.boot.spi.SessionFactoryOptions.
- Changing all JOIN FETCH to JOIN queries
And now I run into an error I haven't been able to fix: Unable to access TransactionManager or UserTransaction.
