Dear All,

I'm using Hibernate + Spring + PostgreSQL in my app. For retrieving data from DB I use @Transactional(readonly=true) annotation.
The DB log shows the following:
LOG: execute <unnamed>: SET SESSION CHARACTERISTICS AS TRANSACTION READ ONLY

Is there a way to configure Hibernate or JDBC driver to set transaction like:
BEGIN TRANSACTION READ ONLY;
.
.
COMMIT;
