My application uses a custom logger (no log4J or other 3rd party). I would like to be able to output Hibernate logs using my customer logger. I am having trouble finding information on how to redirect the output from SLF4J to my custom logger.

The SLF4J documentation only mentions being able to bind to another logging framework by including a jar in the class path that will handle redirecting the output.

Is it possible for me to just redirect to my custom logger? Do I need to generate a logging framework in order to accomplish this task?

I'm not totally against adding an existing 3rd party logging framework. I am just curious if I can use what I have already.
