With a web applicaton such as the Jboss Quickstart (http://www.jboss.org/jdf/quickstarts/jboss-as-quickstart/hibernate3/) which uses a JBoss 7, Hibernate 3, and JSF 2.0 stack how can you globally retry failed database transactions when say a server fails or a deadlock is detected? If not globally, then at the method-level?

The goal is to retry a database operation a certain number of times if it fails so that the user doesn't see an interruption of service.

Thanks in advance.
