 Post subject: Hibernate [JDBC vx Datasource] Performance

I am facing a peculiar performance issue whenever i use datasource base configuration in hibernate instead of jdbc url based ones. When i use JDBC url driven configuration to connect to Oracle DB, the results take say 20 mins whereas when i use Datasource driven configuration, it takes more than an hour to do the same process.

Has anyone faced some thing similar to this? Are there any properties to be set when using datasource in hibernate?
