I have a base class that looks like this:

Code:
@MappedSuperclass
public abstract class Animal {

    protected int id;

    @Id
    @GeneratedValue(strategy = GenerationType.AUTO)
    public int getId()
    {
        return id;
    }

    public void setId(int id)
    {
        this.id = id;
    }
}

In one of my subclasses, let's say, Cat, I'd like to set the GeneratedValue strategy to something different. How can I do that?
