Dear all,

I encounter some issues to define the last stable version of Hibernate i can use. Although versions are tagged as Release, each one has a lot of unresolved bugs due to ORM complexity. My problem is that i'm not sure i can trust the Hibernate's Jira Website (https://hibernate.onjira.com/secure/Dashboard.jspa).
Indeed from 3.5 to the 3.6; there are about 450 unresolved bugs and from 4.0 to 4.1.4 there are about 150 unresolved bugs. And if i'm not wrong, the 450 unresolved bugs from 3.5/3.6 could also affect the 4.x because i guess that people who have declared bugs do not update the affected versions when a new version is available.

So could you please confirm me that an unresolved bug which pretends to only affect the 3.6 version could also affect the 4.1 version (for example)?
And in any case, how can i define the right version of Hibernate to use when there are so much unresolved bugs (that i have not time to read about)?

Thank you in advance for your help.
Regards.

Guilhem
