 Post subject: JUnit for Hibernate

Hello I am implementing Hibernate part of project based on Spring MVC (version 3, annotations) and velocity.
I tried to Test Service layer and DAO layer with the help of Junit but it didn't work.. :-(
as conclusion I come to know that JUnit is solution to test whole MVC, I mean it sent the Mock Objects to Controller and test the flow till model.

Could anybody please suggect me How can I test Model part of SpringMVC (to check mapping of POJOs)??
