Our company currently has an application that uses JDBC to handle all of our database queries. I am not real familiar with Hibernate but I am wondering if it would be a viable solution to convert our JDBC solution to Hibernate? I wasn't sure if this is a possibility to do or not. I know there is a steep learning curve but I feel Hibernate is an emerging technology to learn. Would someone please tell me if there would be any great advantages for this? The application we run is a client server application with a standalone swing client. Any help would be great.

Thanks.
