I am going insane, I have tried almost every permutation of these properties below in my log4j file and nothing has worked out; it continues to spam my console with a shitstorm on every startup and action.

Code:
   <logger name="org.hibernate">
        <level value="debug"/>
   </logger>

   <logger name="org.springframework">
        <level value="debug"/>
   </logger>

   <logger name="org.hibernate.hql.ast.AST">
        <level value="info"/>
   </logger>

   <logger name="org.hibernate.SQL">
        <level value="debug"/>
   </logger>

   <logger name="org.hibernate.type">
        <level value="debug"/>
   </logger>

   <logger name="org.hibernate.tool.hbm2ddl">
        <level value="debug"/>
   </logger>

   <logger name="org.hibernate.hql">
        <level value="info"/>
   </logger>

   <logger name="org.hibernate.cache">
        <level value="debug"/>
   </logger>

   <logger name="org.hibernate.jdbc">
        <level value="debug"/>
   </logger>

I have searched everywhere on the net, and yet again I've failed to make any headway on a fix, I've found several things telling me to get slf4j log4j etc..
