Hi,

I created HHH-6496 in July when we noticed we were getting a ClassCastException inside a proxy without doing any explicit casting in the application code. It's been about four months and it doesn't seem like anyone has looked at it. I can imagine how busy the developers are but I get the sense that the issue reporting process should work a little differently. Has anyone been in this situation before? Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Hi,
I'm sorry for that, yes it might happen as we receive many issues which are actually user errors.
The best way is to propose a fix as well and send a pull request via github, that's the easiest solution for us and provides a good hint about goodwill. Not saying you're report is bad, just that it might not have been noticed and you get more attention when providing a patch.
