Hi, I have question about hibernate license: hibernate-core have LGPLv2.1 license and use JUnit framework for unit testing, but JUnit have CPLv1.0 license.
CPLv1.0 incompatible with LGPLv2.1.
Is it LGPL violation?
And must hibernate-core contain JUnit framework as a "part of the work"?
"part of the work" is term from LGPLv2.1

Hi,
please direct this kind of inquiries to legal at redhat.com; as a personal opinion (and I'm no lawyer) I'm confident we're fine as we have a strong legal department checking our projects for any violation.

Also consider that "hibernate-core" is not even depending on JUnit, so there is no dynamic linking either, which is often an unclear issue.
