I am attempting (unsuccessfully) to create a database from our annotated classes for use in unit tests. We are using hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto=create to set this up but unfortunately am running into "Unsuccessful: create table XYZ ... already exists in Schema"
We have two classes pointing to the same table, one is acting as a view so we don't have to load several blobs. The problem lies in hibernate creating the view and then trying to create the full table which fails because it already exists. Is there an easy way (or hard way) to tell hibernate not to create the table from the view class?
I tried not mapping the view class during creation but that resulted in hibernate failing to load the rest of mappings.
