I am trying to use JBOSS 5.1, EJB3 Entity beans with 'dynamicUpdate' set to true with Oracle 10G XE as the database.
But I see sql where all the columns are being updated.
Is the dynamicUpdate attribute only for optimistic locking? I think JBOSS by default uses pessimistic locking for Entity beans. Is there any way to update only the changed columns when using pessimistic locking?
