This is for a school choice lottery process. Basically, the user needs to fill out an application and select a Grade and a Semester.

So I have 4 entities...

1. SchoolApplication
2. Grade
3. Semester
4. Lottery

An Application has 1 Grade and 1 Semester associated with it.
A Lottery has 1 Grade and 1 Semester associated with it.

Need to relate Applications to Lottery and vice versa. What is the best way?

When you say you need to relate Applications to Lottery, are you talking about hibernate mapping?
Could you be a little more explicit? Some code would be nice ...
