Hi,
I currently have a requirement that whenever an update is being made on my entity that I send out a JMS message containing the fields that have changed on the entity. For that to work i need to know what fields have been updated / deleted or added to my entity.

Is there any mechanism within hibernate that can compare the currently stored version of an Entity from database against the one which I would want to update it with ?

many thanks,
Javed
