Hi All,

Does the Garbage Collector collects the POJO's which implements the interface(which has static fields).
I am facing the situvation like the gc is not collecting these POJO's even after the user has signoff from the application.Inturn my application is running out of space.
Any thing i need to do , so that these pojos will get collected by GC().

Regards
Yeshwant

Hi Yeshwant,

The garbage collector will only destroy objects that are no longer referenced by any variables or fields. Make sure that they are dereferenced when the user signs out. Also as long as a Hibernate Session is open, any persisted POJOs will remain in the cache. Ensure the Hibernate Session is closed when it is not needed anymore and this cache will be cleared.

Hope that helps,

Kate.
