Hi,

The ehcache version with Hibernate 3.6 is 1.5.0 which from the ehcache sourceforge page was released in 2008. The latest version of ehcache is 2.2.0, released July 2010.

http://ehcache.org/documentation/hibernate-upgrade.html

says that version 2 has higher performance due to removing unecessary synchronisation. Would it be worth upgrading to this version. If I drop it in, do you know if it will be compatible?

Regards
Oliver Kohll

I can do of course, I just wondered if anyone else had however judging from the response, there's not much interest. If anyone is interested in my results when I get round to it, add a comment, otherwise I won't bother relaying the outcome. I'm unlikely to do any numerical performance testing in any case.
