Hi everybody. I have a question to ask: as far as I know JPA persist operation only registers the object in the context of the EntityManager. But looks like that with Derby the sentence also triggers the insert operation in the database. I though it would be postponed until the transaction commit. Am I losing something or this is the most common behaviour? In fact I've been using Hibernate for quite a time but I didn't become aware of it until now.

Thanks in advance.
