The brief documentation suggests it helps with fast updates but the code suggests it can be used for more.

So when you set rowid for an entity is it ever possible to fetch by rowid and not primary key when using queries? Can any relationship use rowids to fetch?

Can associations fetch by rowid instead of primary key?

Is it significantly faster to use rowid over primary key?

When using Oracle with hibernate when would you not want to use rowid (assuming you're not moving your tables around)
