 Post subject: Unit Testing Merge

I have a question.. how do you test a merge via junit/spring/hibernate setup? I am currently extending AbstractTransactionalJUnit38SpringContextTests, http://www.mysticpaste.com/view/3087 for the test, I am not able to get the record back out of the database after the merge. All other tests pass. There are no errors, the test fails because the object is null.
