Hi,

I prefer JPA annotations since you get independence over ORM tool.
What's the advantage of hibernate persistence over JPA?

Thanks,

I think the most annotations exists for backward compatibility. Hibernate Annotations exists before JPA 1.0 was released. So Hibernate must support both annotations. But Hibernate does also provide some special features, which are not part of JPA. So all annotations have a right to exist.

Kind regards
Michael
