Can anyone tell me what the standard is for maintaining the index column that you use for <index column="idx" /> for example. I'm talking about when you have a mapped association with a List. What happens when you do a lot of deletes? Do you have to have a maintenance script to tidy it up? Or is this approach of using Lists for associations not even standard practice anymore?
