I have a table in Oracle which has a XMLType data defined.

The entity is mapped as follows -

@Column(name="DOC_CONTENT",columnDefinition="XMLTYPE")
public String getDocContent() {
return this.docContent;
}


This returns NULL from the db.

With a SQL constructed like below it works fine.

select sys.xmltype.getStringVal(DOC_CONTENT) from ADDR_BOOK_XCAP_DOC;

How can I achieve the same using HB ? Tried using the sql native query and result mapping but still did not work.
