We use the open-session-in-view pattern, however we are running across very infrequent errors where we attempt to access a Session that has already been closed. I wont go into details - probably involves misconfiguration of our servlet filters.

To troubleshoot this kind of thing, it would be helpful if Hibernate provided a "session-closed" event type and listener.

An interceptor would work as well, in case the client needs to modify the session.close() behavior under certain circumstances.
