New topic for Q&A or discussion of the quirks of using Hibernate on the IBM iSeries midrange (aka AS/400).

Generally Hibernate works well as long as the profile has update authority granted on all the appropriate tables.

One issue we're seeing is that simple queries are creating jobs that remain on the system as *JOBLOG *PENDING. An iSeries expert advises to set 'RC=0'. Does anyone know how to set within Java or in the Spring config file?
