Would anybody please explain these settings for hibernate caching:

hibernate.cache.use_structured_entries

hibernate.cache.use_minimal_puts

Explanations I found in docs are not very enlightening: "more human-friendly format" and "Optimizes second-level cache operation to minimize writes..."

When I want to use one or another?

Thank you!
