Dear guru!

Could you please tell me is there a way to tell that, for example, all Java String types should be mapped not to Hibernate.STRING but to some custom type? I know that it's possible to specify custom type for some specific field but it's too annoying and time wasting to add this customization for every field especially if there are hundreds of classes ...

Thanks in advance,
Vadim
