The road map and docs for Hibernate 3 allude to a "user extension" framework, but don't explain what it is. I realize the full docs are still a to do, but can you give a quick idea of what this framework is supposed to do. Does it allow for dynamic object model extension or is it meant for some other purpose?

Thanks.

Edward
